1. Usage procedure
To use the service functionality, it is necessary to create an account by registering with an email address. Authentication is carried out through a one-time confirmation code sent to the specified address.
After successful registration, the user gains access to the following functions:
- Scanning barcodes of food products to obtain information about composition and characteristics
- Viewing detailed information about products contained in the database
- Adding new products to the database by uploading photos of labels
- Saving history of scanned products (if this feature is available)
Service usage is not limited by the number of scanning operations or product additions. The service is provided free of charge without subscription fees or other mandatory payments.
2. Permitted actions
Within the framework of using the service, the user has the right to:
- Scan barcodes of any food products presented in the retail network
- View information about composition, nutritional value, and product characteristics
- Add information about products absent in the system to the database, provided that reliable data from the product label is provided
- Distribute links to product pages in the service for informational purposes
- Use the obtained information for personal needs in accordance with applicable legislation
3. Prohibited actions
When using the service, it is strictly prohibited to:
- Add deliberately false, distorted, or unreliable information about products
- Upload images not related to food product labels, including materials of obscene, offensive, or unlawful nature
- Carry out actions aimed at disrupting service functionality, including attempts at unauthorized access to the system, introduction of malicious software, or conducting DDoS attacks
- Use the service to distribute spam, malicious content, phishing links, or other materials that violate third party rights
- Create multiple accounts for the purpose of abusing service functionality or bypassing established restrictions
- Automated data collection from the service (parsing, scraping) without prior written agreement with the administration
4. Usage limitations and limits
To ensure stable operation of the service and prevent abuse, the following restrictions are established:
Contact Form
- Maximum 2 submissions per day with a minimum interval of 6 hours between submissions
- First limit violation: temporary blocking of access to the form for 24 hours
- Second limit violation: the account will be automatically deleted
- The submission counter automatically resets 24 hours after the first submission
Adding products (photo validation)
- When adding a product, photos undergo automatic quality verification
- Maximum 4 failed photo upload attempts are allowed within 1 hour
- An attempt is considered failed when the photo does not meet requirements (blurry, missing necessary text, etc.)
- When the limit is reached, the ability to add products is temporarily restricted for 3 hours
- The counter automatically resets after 1 hour
Editing information (text validation)
- When editing product data, changes undergo automatic verification for accuracy
- Maximum 2 failed editing attempts are allowed within 1 hour
- An attempt is considered failed when entered data does not pass verification (false information, spam, etc.)
- First limit violation: temporary editing block for 6 hours
- Second limit violation: account will be automatically deleted
- Counter of failed attempts automatically resets after 1 hour
These restrictions are applied automatically and are necessary to maintain information quality in the database and protect the service from abuse. Users who follow the usage rules and provide accurate information typically do not encounter these restrictions.
In case of technical errors or unjustified blocking, the user may contact support through the feedback form after the blocking period ends.
5. User responsibility
By adding product information to the database, the user assumes responsibility for the reliability and relevance of the provided information.
The user guarantees that:
- The provided information corresponds to the data indicated on the product label
- Uploaded photos are readable and contain necessary information about product composition
- The information does not violate third party rights, including copyright and trademark rights
If an error is discovered in the added information, any user can report it through the feedback form. The service administration checks received messages and makes necessary corrections to the database.
Systematic or deliberate addition of false information is grounds for blocking the user's account without prior notice.
6. Information accuracy
The service administration makes every reasonable effort to ensure the accuracy and relevance of product information presented in the database.
At the same time, we draw attention to the following circumstances:
- Product information comes from open sources and from users, which does not allow guaranteeing absolute reliability of all data
- Food product manufacturers have the right to change product composition and characteristics without changing packaging and barcode
- The same product may have different composition depending on the region of sale or production batch
- Technical errors are possible when recognizing information from labels or typos in source data
If inaccuracies, outdated information, or discrepancies between data in the service and actual product composition are discovered, users are recommended to report this through the feedback form for verification and corrections.
7. Limitation of liability
The service is provided on an "as is" basis without any warranties, express or implied.
The service administration is not responsible for:
- Any decisions made by the user based on information obtained through the service, including decisions concerning health and nutrition
- Inaccuracies or errors in product information posted in the database
- Temporary unavailability of the service for technical reasons or in connection with maintenance work
- Direct or indirect losses arising from the use or inability to use the service
- Actions of third parties using information from the service
The information presented in the service is for reference purposes and cannot serve as a substitute for consultation with a qualified specialist in healthcare or nutrition. - Posting a notification in the service interface when the user logs into the system
Notification of significant changes is sent no less than 7 calendar days before the changes come into force.
Continued use of the service after the changes come into force means the user's consent to the updated version of the Terms of Use. In case of disagreement with the changes made, the user is obliged to stop using the service and may delete their account.
